A Sci-Fi action FPS set on a distant planet, where the player takes on the role of a captured cyborg attempting to escape an enemy prison base. As a member of the design team, I contributed to several key aspects of the game’s development, including level layout, ammunition and weapon systems, UI elements, and various in-game mechanics.

My Contributions:

Assisted in designing the layout of the game’s environment, including the strategic placement of key items such as ammunition, weapons, colored keycards for specific doors, and batteries.

Implemented a dynamic ammunition system where the player can only pick up ammo for weapons if it is not already full. Ammo pick-ups adjust to the weapon’s maximum capacity (e.g., each handgun ammo pick-up gives 15 rounds, but the player’s inventory cannot exceed the maximum of 64).

Developed a slowdown mechanic for weapon selection, similar to the one used in Doom 2016, that allows the player to choose their next weapon while the game temporarily slows down, giving them a strategic advantage during combat.

Designed and implemented various in-game UI widgets, such as notifications to alert the player when their ammo is full or when they pick up credits (the game’s currency).

Added meshes and props to several rooms in the game world to enhance the environmental storytelling and immersion.

Assisted with enemy animations, despite being less experienced in this area, in an effort to bring more life and movement to the game’s enemies.
